Dr Girish Nair MD( Med) DM( Neuro) is an eminent Neurologist of Navi Mumbai and Central Mumbai. He currently leads the Neuroscience service at Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, Belapur and also operates two boutique neuroscience centres- NeuroOne Brain and Spine at Kharghar and Vashi in Navi Mumbai. A brilliant student from the very early days, Dr Nair’s fascination for the mysteries of the human brain started right from his school days. He trained in Neurology at the prestigious Bombay Hospital Institute, Mumbai and has also been part of collaborative research in Dementia with Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NYC and in Stroke Medicine with Heidelberg University, Germany. His passions in Neurology centre around Dementia, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Neurological wellness.

Stroke Neurology: Heads the acute stroke care program at the Fortis hospital Mulund with treatment outcomes and standards on par with the best in the world. Has trained in acute stroke neurology at University of hiedelberg in Germany with Prof. Werner Hacke.
Cognitive neurology and Dementia: Working as neurologist research officer with the Indo US cross cultural study on cognitive disorders among the elderly in the city of Mumbai since October 2007, a joint venture of Mount Sinai School of Medicine(MSSM) and BYL Nair Hospital Mumbai, supported by an NIH grant Performing detailed Neurological and Neuropsychological assessments on patients with cognitive complaints and providing a continuum of care with counseling, cognitive rehabilitation and end of life management.
